Let The Battle Begin !

The MSSKL Competition was held this year to select players to represent Kuala Lumpur at the MSSM Squash Competition at the Nicol David International Squash Centre, Bukit Dumbar in George Town, Penang from March 11-17. And last holidays, me and the rest of the coaches, teachers, and KL squash players joined the competition and we stayed at the Stallions Apartment, Penang for almost one week :)

Our U-15 KL team powered by the promising Ng Eain Yow (he was the Boys Under-15 runner-up at the Asian Junior Squash Championships 2011 and most recently, the Boys Under-15 , 2nd runner-up at the British Junior Open 2012) , Andrea Lee ..(the British Junior Under-13 runner-up) and a few other shining players this year. But, it was a bit sad for Andrea as she had been suffering from a hamstring injury and was unable to play. Hopefully she will get better. And Andrea, if you are reading this, get well soon, dear.

Finally, 
we emerged one of the top in team challenge, picking up three titles by winning honours in U-15 Boys- Individual and team events and also bronze medal for U-15 Girls (Individual), and in a good position to repeat the feat.

I'm really happy to be there and to be a part of the team. Hope u guys keep up the good work and I wish you the best of luck for the next competition. Seriously, I miss the time we went to Queensbay Mall, oh ya Tesco (too) heheheh, the sponsored squash t-shirts, me seeing everyone of u at the apartment (and the swimming pool :P), Aina's birthday celebration at Recsam, the Pom-Pom Girls, SORIN (hopefully, I spelled his name right), having dinner at Padang Kota..and the list goes on. and on.

Happy Bday March Babies!

27!  Yeay! 

And what a celebration I had, thanks to all who sent me birthday greetings, celebrated the special day and made it beautiful! You’re all the best! Seriously, that was so sweet of you guys! On top of that I was informed that my friends were also having a potluck and a few people even gave me some gifts.  It was so sweet and completely unexpected.  I was really touched, and yeah having a potluck gathering is a great way to get together with all my friends. We made so many fun memories and enjoyed some quality time together..

And later that night I had a special dinner @ Mandi Mandi, Tamarind Springs....highly recommended to everyone. Go there for the main courses and much better both in taste and value. The beautiful decor was amazing and breathtaking too. The people were friendly and it was the best birthday celebration indeed..and the singing dishy waiters with the bday cake really made my day!.. thanks :)

and yeah.I can’t thank you enough… and I mean that!

STRIKE!!

The other day several of my students and I went bowling at Times Square..  It was so nice to just get out after school and have some teacher-students competition!! It’s just an exciting time. Thank you guys. We should do this more often next time with more people joining..

My students  actually did quite OK and even got a few strikes - yeay! I think my practising on Ipad with hubby has translated onto the real game...hehehe but I really like bowling though - is something different to do in the evening!

Some of my students have never bowled before so this was a really great experience for them. In fact, I bowled better than some of them, finishing with a strike! hehehe The other team consists of Christopher, Zabir and Ravin won at first. However, even with struggles, my team-mates (Logan,Melvin, Duke and me)  won the 2nd half ..at last kan guys hehehe.. 

  It definitely was a great day for all.  

So, if you’re looking for something fun to do today, go bowling, it’s really more fun that I remembered it to be!

Let's Be Real :)

I tuned in to "The Voice" premiere on Youtube because I'm a fan of Adam Levine, that was it.. hehehe...

But I stick with it because there was some actually good artists competing, and not just "voices". Thankfully, knowing it's the voice, not the look that counts is so refreshing! 

And now I have to say that I LOVE this version by Lindsey Pavao - Say Aah..

I hope she wins "The Voice" because she has very unique & talented voice. I have to say that i love this version of the song, and i love her voice!!!! I am glad that she went through to the next round! She completely transformed this song..

Cupcakes Make Me HAPPY!

This entry is all about cakes :P 

I love to bake, but frankly, it scared me. I decided to face my fears and really go all out with my first cupcake “baking from scratch” experiment. It started when I bought really, really good cupcakes from this cuppyluscious blogspot. The variety of cupcakes there are impressive and I would say that the cupcakes were REALLY good and unbelievably soft - the frosting was super creamy. Recommended to all.

Okay. Then, it inspired me to try to bake my own cupcakes and to use fondant for the first time..wow ! fondant cake? You know what’s tough about being passionate about something?  It’s hard not to go all-in.  That’s how I’m feeling that day about this cake. I've googled  for the best recipe until I can't google anymore! My friend from St John, Kak Rosniza shared a very yummy recipe of her moist choc cake and I was very happy..so I baked and baked...Thanks Kak Ros! memang sedap menyelerakan :)

Here’s a little photo inspiration from me. ehmmm the frosting a bit comot tapi comel.. okayla for a beginner kan. heheheh

and my first ever fondant cakes! yeay!

 I am perfectly happy with these cakes and looking forward to make them again and again. 

I have baked from scratch, survived, and can’t wait for the next recipe! cecece.. :)

I started my new year with this.. :P

Ehmm i think we’re all different with varying time constraints and writing abilities so that's why I am a bit struggling to keep my blog updated regularly hehehe..  I would definitely have to say that I am a Math person.. or   { Haniza + Numbers = a bad story teller }

Well, seriously I want to share my everyday life in this blog with those who might want to learn from it from my view. I write only about the topics I wanted to write about and to present my writing to other teachers with similar interests. What I mean by that is finding who we REALLY are; what we've always loved deep down that makes us different from everyone else.

Just told my friend how hard it was to write this first post after that long hiatus. She suggested to write 'hi, everyone, I'm back..im updating my personal style diary...ehm  i mean my blog' 

A personal style diary??. I like the idea. I intend to turn this blog into one. So from now on this blog will be 'so me'. :) just wait for the next entry and because I'm newly fascinated by a new passion in life :)
